Chinese designer Renli Su is no stranger to mysticism, nostalgia or fairytales – each of her collections takes inspiration from storytelling, and SS20 was no exception. Drawing on the play ’The Blue Bird’ by Maurice Maeterlick, she dreamt up pieces like this dress inspired by the dreams of the story’s children. Spun from pure cotton, it’s shaped to a diaphanous silhouette with wide sleeves and trimmed with delicate lace. Layer it under a sheer coat, as per the lookbook.
