There are a few things that set Peter Lauer apart from other German vineyards. Run by the founder’s grandson Florian, the estate uses a long, cool fermentation process, and the wines are filtered, but not fined. Strictly for purists, this Reserve ’92 riesling is balanced and fresh. Biscuity on the nose, it’s packed with gentle citrus and saline mineral flavours that lead to a long finish. If we were putting on a dinner, we’d pair it with pork or poultry.
