Sitting a 1300m in the utterly gorgeous Uco Valley, the Atamisque winery makes Argentinian wines with a French attitude. Beautifully balanced and probably demanding the description “elegant”, the Catalpa Cabernet Sauvignon is made with 50-year-old vines and about 40% of the wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months. Fairly full-bodied, but mostly smooth and delicious.
