A Chianti in the cellar is as vital as having salt in the kitchen – a meal just wouldn’t be complete without it. This Classico by Le Corti is our next recommendation; a blend of Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, it’s interestingly allowed to rest in cement vats for 12 months – much different to the usual oak, and allowing its own profile to shine. Bright and fresh, there are ample hints of juicy fruits and florals, with balsamic acidity and peppery spice along the way.
