The secret to the distinctive aroma and flavour of this 18-year-old Scotch whisky by Macallan lies in the maturation process that takes place in both European and American oak casks. Sherry seasoned, the liquor is sweet and rounded. On the nose, toffee and ginger with hints of spicy nutmeg and warming clove play, while the palate balances sweet sultanas with creamy caramel and smooth vanilla finishing on a kick of spicy oak turns to sweet orange to smoulder on your palate.
